Nets having fun with Joe Harris’ new celebration

Joe Harris fist-pumped hard after nailing an important three for the Nets on Monday, and his teammates are busting his chops about it.

Whenever DeAndre Jordan picks up an assist — especially when he completes a nice pass — he mimes the act of physically picking up a dime. When Jarrett Allen made his surprising behind the back pass a little while back, he stole the veteran big man’s move.

Joe Harris didn’t copy Jordan during Brooklyn’s 106-105 win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday, but the Nets sharpshooter did bust out a move. And it’s fairly simple.

When the Nets sharpshooter nailed a significant 3-point shot, he fist-pumped. Certainly, not as creative as Jordan’s move, but it gets the job done.

His teammates took notice, and it turns out the Nets are having some fun with Joey Buckets’ new move. Harris explained to reporters in Indiana following the win:

Yeah, it’s sort of the inside joke with everybody on the team. But, I mean, sort of a long story short, a lot of the guys on the team joke with me that’s the whitest thing that I do or have done. The little fist pump. So it’s sort of a running joke now.

Harris has a little bit of time to work on his fist pump before Brooklyn’s last game pre-All-Star break. They face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
