NASCAR is fresh off a shocking weekend of racing at Bristol Motor Speedway, where the sport saw Denny Hamlin survive the extreme tire wear en route to this first win of the 2024 season. Now, the racing series is set for Circuit of the Americas. All NASCAR levels will participate on track, so let’s take a closer look at the entry lists released for COTA.
In the Cup Series, there are several changes compared to last week. A.J. Allmendinger (No. 13 car) Shane Van Gisbergen (No. 16 car) will drive for Kaulig Racing. Meanwhile, Kamui Kobayashi (No. 50 car for 23XI Racing) and Timmy Hill (No. 66 car for MBM Motorsports) make their season debuts. The event is scheduled to have 39 entries.
The Xfinity Series also features experienced drivers. Kyle Larson will drive the No. 17 car for Hendrick Motorsports, while Ty Gibbs pilots the No. 19 car for Joe Gibbs Racing. Other notable entries include Ty Dillon (JDM Motorsports), Ed Jones (Sam Hunt Racing), Kaz Grala (RSS Racing), and Brad Perez (Alpha Prime Racing). There are 40 entries, so two drivers will miss the show.
