Mike Tomlin lays out strategy for slowing down Joe Burrow

Being flexible is key to the Steelers slowing down Joe Burrow.

The top priority for the Pittsburgh Steelers this week is finding a way to minimize the damage of quarterback Joe Burrow. Tomlin talked to Steelers reporter Bob Pompeani about this week’s game and he laid out what makes Burrow so hard to stop.

Tomlin pointed out Burrow’s ability to make adjustments to defenses and why this makes him so dangerous in the fourth quarter. Things that work against Burrow in the first quarter rarely work late in the game and the Steelers defense has to be prepared to work on the fly to keep up with the Bengals signal caller.

Burrow has gone against the Steelers five times in his career. He’s 3-2 in those games. Pittsburgh comes into this game at 8-3 and the Bengals are 4-7.
