Mics caught Eagles’ DeVonta Smith hilariously bemoaning a Philadelphia downpour, and it was so relatable

“I’m cold as [expletive]!”

The Eagles might have put the upstart Jaguars in their place with a 29-21 win on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t come without its struggles. And I’m not talking about the on-field Xs and Os kind of issues.

You see, the Eagles and Jaguars played their game during a giant rainstorm in Philadelphia. As we detailed in our latest Power Rankings, the conditions partly led to a historic number of fumbles lost for Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence.

On the Eagles’ side of the matter, one of their young star playmakers — DeVonta Smith — simply despised the cold conditions the downpour created. As a clip from NFL Films details, Smith appeared to be (understandably!) miserable on the sideline when he wasn’t in the game:

Hoo, buddy. We’re all right there with Smith. If it’s raining and pouring outside, all I want to do is get under a thick blanket. For what it’s worth, Smith had to make everyone understand how cold it was in response:

I think we can all empathize with Smith’s cold/rain struggles while he had to play in a professional football game. In a point for Smith: at least the Eagles won.
