Orlando Magic rookie Jalen Suggs will be a game-time decision on Monday versus the Atlanta Hawks with a sprained right ankle, head coach Jamahl Mosley said at shootaround.
Suggs initially suffered the injury on Saturday just 33 seconds into the fourth quarter against the Washington Wizards after he appeared to swat the ball away from a defender. He was able to walk off of the court under his power but would not return to the contest.
Mosley said the team will continue to monitor him on Monday.
“He was a full participant in shootaround so we’re going to continue to monitor him and see how he feels,” Mosley said. “We’ll read it more as the day goes on.”
Mosley did not have an update on Suggs after the game on Saturday. However, the latest update given by Mosley could ensure Suggs plays as the Magic begin a five-game road trip in Atlanta.

Suggs has started every game for the Magic to this point of the season, averaging 11.3 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 13 games. He ranks seventh in scoring among all rookie players, fourth in assists and eighth in minutes.
Orlando has deployed the same five-man starting lineup in every game this season and could be forced to turn to another player in place of Suggs should he be unable to go versus the Hawks.
