We’re going into Year 2 of the Dennis Allen era with the New Orleans Saints, and expectations are high for this team after they came up short last season. It’s playoffs or bust for a Saints team that’s gone all-in this offseason, recruiting a new starting quarterback in Derek Carr and moving tens of millions of dollars around to fit talented free agent pickups under the salary cap.
They should get where they want to go with this favorable schedule. Just one opponent won double-digit games last year (the Minnesota Vikings, at a fraudulent 13-4). Few of this year’s matchups will be against teams returning from the playoff tournament.
