It had been a long time since the Detroit Lions picked off more than one pass in a game.
*Crowd*: How long has it been?
Long enough that it strings back to the Jim Caldwell coaching era.
The sad punchline is no longer laughing at the Lions defense.
When Jamie Collins and Duron Harmon each picked off Kyler Murray in the first half of the Lions Week 3 visit to Arizona, it marked the first time in the Matt Patricia reign as Detroit’s coach that the team has notched more than one interception in a game.
The two takeaways were also the first two takeaways of the season for the Lions defense.
This is the first time since the final game of the Jim Caldwell era that the Lions have had more than one defensive interception in a game.
