Linval Joseph has been around the block in the NFL.
So much so, his current situation isn’t new to him.
Joseph, 35, was drafted by the New York Giants in 2010. Most recently, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
In doing so, his circumstances were very similar to the one he enters with the Buffalo Bills. He signed with the Eagles midway through the year. Now he’s done the same with the Bills.
And for those who forgot, Philadelphia made it all the way to the Super Bowl.
Joseph hasn’t forgotten that happened and he’s hoping for a repeat in Buffalo.
“That’s the goal, that’s the dream,” Joseph said.
Joseph could be a useful piece to make that happen. The Bills (5-3) have had a bit of a hole on their defensive line since DaQuan Jones went down with a pectoral injury. Joseph and Jones have similar playing styles as a space-eating player on the D-line.
“Veteran, experienced player,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said via video conference. “He’s played a lot of football. Certainly a big man–Line of scrimmage is important.”
