During Thursday’s Game 2 of the Western Conference Final between the Denver Nuggets and Lakers, D’Angelo Russell picked up a questionable flagrant foul with less than three minutes left in the first quarter. Chasing down Jamal Murray in transition, Russell jumped to tap the ball away for the block, drawing the foul.

Then after the officials looked at the play, Russell picked up a Flagrant 1 for the block. It’s a foul for sure, but Russell was no doubt going for the ball and not trying to smack Murray in the face. Unfortunately, the referees saw it otherwise.

After the call, LeBron had the most relatable — and meme-able — face in response.
