LaMelo Ball cleared from COVID protocol, assigned to Greensboro Swarm

Ball should be back on the floor for the Hornets soon.

The Charlotte Hornets will get their leader back very soon.

The Hornets announced on Tuesday morning that LaMelo Ball has cleared the NBA’s health and safety protocols and has been assigned to the Greensboro Swarm for conditioning and rehab assignment.

Ball was one of several Hornets who entered COVID protocols over the last week and a half. Terry Rozier made his return to the court for the Hornets on Monday while Mason Plumlee and Jalen McDaniels cleared protocol on Monday.

In LaMelo’s absence, the Hornets have lost three of fives games and play their next game on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.
