Lakers could be interested in Patrick Beverley and Bojan Bogdanovic

The Lakers reportedly have two new trade targets.

With the Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving apparently off the table, the Los Angeles Lakers seem to be shifting their focus to trading for other players who could improve their roster.

Two players they’re reportedly interested in are veteran guard Patrick Beverley and forward Bojan Bogdanović, both of whom are currently with the Utah Jazz.

They may not provide the type of major upgrade Irving would’ve been, but they could help move the needle.

Beverley is a tenacious point-of-attack defender, while Bogdanovic is a capable scorer and an outstanding 3-point shooter.

Via Lakers Daily:

“The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to make any major acquisitions this offseason, but point guard Patrick Beverley and forward Bojan Bogdanovic appear to be two potential trade targets for the storied franchise.”

The problem with going after both is that Danny Ainge, the former Boston Celtics guard, is the CEO of basketball operations for the Jazz. It’s hard to imagine someone like that helping the Lakers in any fashion.
