At a position that is thin in the 2023 NFL draft, former Badger defensive tackle Keeanu Benton is looking to be off the board in the second round next week.
It was the Reese’s Senior Bowl where Benton’s stock really took off, as he looked like arguably the most complete defensive lineman at the event.
Reese’s Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy recently took to Twitter to say that Benton is likely a top-50 pick given his diverse set of skills and the lack of depth at the defensive tackle position in 2023.
Benton also recently made The Athletic’s Top 100 list of prospects, coming at No. 56 overall the No. 6 overall defensive tackle. According to many scouts, Benton projects as one of the few three-down defensive tackles on the board in 2023.
More you talk to people around league it’s clear this year’s DT class is thinnest position group.
Makes sense then that Wisconsin’s Keeanu Benton is likely Top-50 🔒.
