Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would partner with Kevin Durant over any other current NBA player

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had some high praise for Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets forward’s offensive abilities.

There are very few players in the game who can completely change the look of a franchise. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is one of those players, so is Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant.

When it comes to Durant, he showed the level of impact he could have when he went to Golden State. The Warriors were already an elite team, but the addition of Durant made them impossible to knock off — until the Toronto Raptors caught Golden State without the superstar forward (except for 11 minutes of Game 5).

While Durant partnering up with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson didn’t sit well with many, the idea of superstars partnering up isn’t new in basketball. Even back when Kareem Abdul-Jabaar was in the NBA, top-tier players were teaming up.

And if the Basketball Hall of Famer were playing right now, he’d want to partner up with Brooklyn’s superstar forward above everyone else. He explained why on Twitter:

If I was playing in this era, I would team up with Kevin Durant — his outside shooting and my inside game would really compliment each other.

Unfortunately, that’s a pairing we’ll never see — unless you count 2K.
