Justin Anderson in Disney bubble with Nets

Justin Anderson has arrived in the bubble and is going through his preliminary quarantine after getting a negative test upon arrival.

Before Brooklyn signed Donta Hall, Jamal Crawford and Michael Beasley, the Nets had been linked to Justin Anderson.

The forward spent time with the Nets on a 10-day deal earlier in the 2019-20 season. Once his contract came to an end, he returned to the organization, via a trade, to play for Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

The Disney bubble appeared to be Anderson’s chance to get back to the NBA level with the Nets’ roster depleted. Then Brooklyn signed three other players, and the franchise also recently been linked to Lance Thomas — while there’s been no official word of the Nets agreeing to a deal with Anderson.

But on Monday, Anderson revealed on the University of Virginia basketball YouTube show “Locker Room Access” that he arrived at Disney on Sunday and is “following protocol right now” after a negative COVID-19 test:

I’m waiting on the next result and I’m going to have another one. They could be knocking on my door anytime soon.

Anderson also stated the Nets weren’t among the original group of teams he and his agent heard from. It wasn’t until Wilson Chandler elected to opt-out of the bubble that the Nets reached out.
