On Sept. 5, when Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh marched in the parent-organized protest of the Big Ten, when asked his thoughts on the current state of the conference sitting home, he evoked his brother John, head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, saying his opinion is to ‘Free the Big Ten.’

“Free the Big Ten, like my brother John Harbaugh said! Says it all. Wanna be free to play,” Harbaugh said.

John Harbaugh had expressed that sentiment days earlier, proffering his opinion on the conference he grew up around in the wake of the Big Ten staying at home while other conferences pressed on.

Now that the Big Ten is back on, the elder Harbaugh expressed excitement and solidarity with his brother, while getting in a quick little jab about Jim’s statement about the conference’s reversal on Wednesday.

“I want to express congratulations to the Big Ten for setting their football teams free and allowing them to play football finally,” “Great decision and it’s gonna be fun to watch Big Ten football shortly.

“Appreciate my brother’s statement. He said, ‘Stay positive, test negative, play football.’ Now I will point out we’ve had that t-shirt since day one, you guys have seen our t-shirt, right? ‘Stay positive, test negative, play like a Raven.’ So yeah — we’re hand-in-hand on that one.”
