John Harbaugh praises Isaiah Likely for stepping up in absence of Mark Andrews

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh praised tight end Isaiah Likely for stepping up in the absence of tight end Mark Andrews

The Baltimore Ravens have seen tight end Isaiah Likely step up in a big way following a big injury to Mark Andrews. The second-year pro has established a great connection with quarterback Lamar Jackson, and has helped Baltimore win games down the stretch of the 2023 season.

“We said it then if you go back and look. You asked me this question back then, and it’s the same answer I gave you then. We expect Isaiah [Likely] to step right in and play at a high level. We’d see him in practice. We knew what he was capable of doing, and then everybody else picks up more along the way. I don’t believe anybody’s surprised by how well Isaiah’s played, but you’re happy when you see it. You want to see it happen and actualize, so to see that happen has been great.”

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was asked about how Likely has stepped up with Andrews out of the picture, and heaped his praises. He talked about how there was always confidence in Likely in the organization, and him producing was something that his teammates and coaches knew he could do.
