The Philadelphia 76ers saw their 2020-21 season end in a disappointing second-round loss to the Atlanta Hawks, and the fallout from that defeat still hasn’t cleared.
Ben Simmons hasn’t reported to Sixers training camp. He wasn’t at Sixers media day on Monday. And according to multiple reports throughout the summer, Simmons hasn’t spoken to his Sixers teammates as he looks to force his way out of Philly.
Sixers star Joel Embiid spoke extensively during his media session about the drama surrounding Simmons and the team. Embiid said that he was disappointed in the situation. He also made it clear that he’s seen all those workout videos of Simmons shooting 3s.

Embiid was asked about what he’d like to see from Simmons’ game should he return to Philadelphia. Embiid seemingly took a jab at all those videos in his response:
“I’m sure we’ve all seen the videos. So, that would help.”
Basically, Embiid wanted — and continues to want — Simmons to be more aggressive offensively. He elaborated on the situation, saying that he felt the team had the potential to be great with Simmons onboard.

We’ll have to see if that’s enough to change Simmons’ mind.
