Joe Judge, Kevin Stefanski stress no-fight policy at joint practices

The Giants and Browns are stressing a no-fight policy as joint practices arrive.

With fights cropping up at joint practices around the NFL, the head coaches of the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns both stepped to their teams that fighting will nor be tolerated.

“We didn’t fly across the country to get into a fistfight,” Giants head coach Joe Judge told reporters on Thursday. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski had a similar attitude.

Judge, who played on the same high school team as Stefanski in Pennsylvania, joked the two would have a punt, pass and kick contest over the next two days. The two clubs will practice together again on Friday and face one another in a preseason game on Sunday afternoon.

As both teams look to stay competitive entering the second preseason game, tempers can flare easily. It will be up to the head coaches and the leaders on both sidelines to ensure it doesn’t escalate.

In another personnel note, rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney and free agent wideout Kenny Golladay will continue to work on the side. Running back Saquon Barkley also workout on the side. Judge said had the Giants been practicing alone at home, Berkley would be doing more this week.
