Guess who? Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is the NFLPA’s top rising star for 2020.

Burrow tops the annual list, which outlines 10 veterans and rookies who seem poised to define the next generation of football. It’s based on metrics, sales projections and more.

From the list: “The annual NFLPA Rising Stars list identifies top Rookies and Veterans poised to have breakout seasons, gain fan support and ultimately rank among the top-sellers of all officially licensed player merchandise.”

Burrow tops the list of rookies with No. 2 pick Chase Young right behind. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sits third while Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert slots eighth. Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is the top rising veteran star.

Burrow topping the list here isn’t much of a shocker. Besides being selected first overall, he’s one of the best quarterback prospects to enter the league perhaps since Andrew Luck and just had arguably the greatest season for a college passer ever.

No wonder Bengals fans are already getting Burrow jerseys in droves as the coaching staff works to implement his favorite plays from LSU into the playbook.
