Jets vs. Cowboys Week 2 final prediction: Can Zach Wilson snag a win in Big D?

Drop your score predictions for Week 2.

The New York Jets head to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to face the Dallas Cowboys and Zach Wilson is the man tasked with the challenge, now that Aaron Rodgers is (potentially?) out for the season.

While the offense is now a question mark with Wilson back behind center, the defense is the furthest thing from it. New York swarmed the Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen in Week 1, forcing four turnovers including three interceptions for safety Jordan Whitehead. The defense will need a repeat performance to slow down a really good Cowboys offense.

You maybe wouldn’t believe it without seeing it, but Dallas only had 265 yards of total offense last week against the Giants. But with Dallas scoring two non-offensive touchdowns (blocked field goal, interception) in the first half and their defense shutting down Daniel Jones and the Giants, Dallas’ offense didn’t need to do much in their 40-0 blowout win.

The Jets, on paper, should have a better offense than the Giants, but what is the confidence level of Zach Wilson? He looked better than last season during the preseason. But that’s the key, it was the preseason against second-team players. He didn’t have someone like Micah Parsons breathing down his neck on every snap. Sunday will be the first true showing of how far Wilson has come in his short time under Aaron Rodgers after having a full week of practice as the starter.

The Jets are looking for their first 2-0 start since 2015. But this feels like a tall mountain to climb and we’re not sure if Wilson is ready for that mountain quite yet.

Prediction: Cowboys 20, Jets 13
