Jerry Jones is reluctant to say the Cowboys are on the same level as Eagles, 49ers

Dallas owner Jerry Jones says he believes the #Cowboys are an upper echelon team but not on the same level as the #Eagles and 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys are 5-2 heading into Week 8, and if the season ended today, they’d be the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs.

During his weekly sitdown with 105.3 The Fan, the longtime owner was asked about his teams’ standing in the NFC hierarchy. Jones remained confident, stating that he was “unsure if they belong on the field with the 49ers” while taking a wait-and-see approach since the Cowboys have yet to face the Eagles.

Philadelphia is the best team in the conference at 6-1, while San Francisco is still considered a threat even after their 22-17 loss to Minnesota on Monday night.

Dallas spent Week 7 on a bye after their 20-17 road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, but that win came after a week of questions following a thorough 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
