J.C. Jackson sets franchise record with five consecutive games tallying an INT

J.C. Jackson continues to prove his worth.

J.C. Jackson continues to prove his worth for the New England Patriots.

Stephon Gilmore missed his third consecutive week and Jackson has been put into the No. 1 role. He’s ready for the challenge and showing the NFL world why he’s one of the most underrated cornerbacks in the league.

While playing the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10, Jackson had a clutch interception with seven seconds left in the first half. Jackson timed up Lamar Jackson’s pass perfectly and took the ball right out of Marquise Brown’s hands.

That interception was his sixth on the season and he broke the Patriots’ franchise record with five straight games of recording a pick. Jackson continues to ascend in his role and he’s putting in the groundwork for a large contract at the end of the season.

Jackson’s doing enough to keep the secondary alive without Gilmore on the field.
