If the UCLA Bruins are going to have a big year on the football field in 2024, they are going to have to be able to play defense with the big boys of the Big Ten. The defense will need to be up to par day in and day out. A big part of their defense in 2024 will depend on the play of Jay Toia.
Toia was one of the athletes at Big Ten media day. He spoke about UCLA Bruins football and was asked about his new head coach DeShaun Foster. He had the following to say about the new leader in Westwood:
“It didn’t take long until I found out that I was coming back to UCLA, and that was the best place for me. My returning factor was Coach Foster, Coach Malloe, everything that they’re doing, the culture that Coach Foster is trying to instill in us, which is discipline, respect, and enthusiasm. That’s ultimately why I came back.”
