Jason Kelce: ‘I chose to greet hate with hate and I don’t think that’s a productive thing’

Jason Kelce addressed the weekend incident at State College on ‘Monday Night Countdown’

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce made news through social media over the weekend. Kelce reacted to a heckler who uttered a homophobic slur about his brother Travis, who dates Taylor Swift. Kelce reacted by smashing the person’s phone and getting in the face of that person and using the slur multiple times.

As a panelist on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” Kelce began the show with a mea culpa/apology.

“I’m not happy with anything that took place, Kelce said. “I’m not pround of it and in a heated moment I [anyclip-media thumbnail=”undefined” playlistId=”undefined” content=”dW5kZWZpbmVk”][/anyclip-media]hose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing,”
