Jalen Ramsey touring Los Angeles area high schools, starting with Long Beach Poly on Wednesday

The #Rams star is speaking to the youth and making a lasting impression on football players at Los Angeles area high schools.

Los Angeles Rams star Jalen Ramsey is giving back to the community by touring area high schools, meeting with their football teams in an effort to inspire young people. He began his journey with a trip to Long Beach Poly High School yesterday, where he rubbed elbows with the talented players on their football team, even signing a shoe for one of the students.

The Rams announced the visit on Twitter, showing pictures of Ramsey with the team. Check out the photographs of the event below, and notice how excited the students are to be in the presence of the NFL’s premier lock-down cornerback:

As for the signed shoe, it would appear that Ramsey broke the pen in the second picture to put ink on one of the kid’s Crocs during his visit. In a follow-up tweet, the Rams’ social media czar pointed out the obvious excitement in the student’s face as he proudly displayed his unique momento:

Ramsey is a great candidate to speak to Los Angeles’ youth, and from what the Rams stated in their initial release, it seems that he will be making four more appearances to local high schools in the coming months.

For their part, the Long Beach Poly football team is 5-0 to start their 2022 campaign, and are on track to be one of the city’s more competitive squads in the Moore League athletic conference. With a few more wins, they could punch their ticket to the playoffs, and compete for a title later this season.

With the inspiration gained from Ramsey’s appearance, the team should have plenty of motivation to play their best football through the rest of their schedule. The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity afforded to them on Wednesday is sure to make a lasting impression on the students, and will likely be the highlight of their season, win or lose.
