‘It’s a moment everybody in the league wants,’ says Robert Williams III of his clutch free throws vs. Chicago

His teammates’ vocal support gave him the confidence to put the Bulls away at the stripe.

After hitting two pairs of clutch free throws in the Boston Celtics’ 114 – 112 home win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night, starting Boston big man Robert Williams III credited his teammates for putting him in a position to put the game away with the vocal support they gave him at the stripe.

“It’s part of my job,” said Williams to the press after the game. “If I’ve got to make free throws down the line like that, it is what it is.” Also speaking after the game, Al Horford confirmed that he and his teammates did their best to support Timelord’s vocal, active presence on the court.

“It was just giving him confidence,” said Horford.
