If this college football season has taught us anything, it’s that there really hasn’t been a team that has proved to be unbeatable.
Earlier today Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY took a deeper dive into some of the problems that the perceived championship contenders may have.
Paul believes that Alabama’s biggest problem is the lack of a running game. Let’s take a look at the numbers and see if he has a point or not.
Alabama is averaging just 132 yards per game rushing, which is 95th in the FBS. Another staggering fact is that Alabama was held to less than 100 yards rushing against Florida, which is just the second occurrence in the last 97 games for the Tide.
While those numbers are not what they should be, I want to remind everyone that the season is still young and the meat of the SEC schedule is still ahead.
Alabama still has plenty of opportunities to turn the running game around, let’s see if they take advantage and change the narrative.
