Is Dylan Raiola playing on today? Injury updates for the Husker quarterback

The Nebraska quarterback is dealing with an injury. Here are the latest updates.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule held his press conference on Thursday and indicated that the quarterback Dylan Raiola will be ready for today’s game against the USC Trojans.

Raiola has been dealing with a back injury throughout the season. He reaggravated it in the program’s last game against the UCLA Bruins. There were initial questions as to whether he would be ready to go for Saturday’s game. Now, we have an answer.

The quarterback has recorded 1,921 yards, ten touchdowns, and eight interceptions on the year. Last time out, he went 14-of-27, throwing for 177 yards, a touchdown, and an interception against the Bruins.

This is certainly a positive development for a Huskers program that needs a spark offensively. Raiola’s status and new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen could be a recipe for success against a talented Trojans team.

Head coach Matt Rhule said the following when asked about the quarterback’s status for Saturday.

“Dylan will be ready to go and had a great week of practice. We got reps to all the guys. Heinrich (Haarberg) ready to go. Heinrich has had a really good two weeks… we’ll take four quarterbacks out there, but they’re all comfortable with what we do.”
