No. 70 overall – SAF Brandon Jones
Jones has performed well. He’s been a prominent fixture in the secondary rotation and his tackling offers plenty of one on one finishes in the open field. Jones plays physical and should continue to develop with the kind of playing time he’s getting early on. The bad news for Jones? He hasn’t been great in coverage — which is to be expected. The Dolphins have seen Jones targeted 11 times thus far and he has yet to force an incompletion. Jones’ coverage skills will need continued focus. If he doesn’t show long-term upside there, he may be disqualified from a nickel defender role in the future.
