The Hornets dominated nearly wire-to-wire on Sunday against the Wizards, leading for the final 43 minutes to earn a comfortable 119-97 win.

After Bradley Beal helped the Wizards get off to a fast start and a 7-0 lead, Charlotte responded with a 27-8 run to open up a double-digit lead on Washington. Aside from a brief run in the second quarter, the lead never again dipped below double digits the rest of the way.

Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward ensured there would be no second-half comeback as the Hornets only increased their lead in the third quarter, peaking 29 points to end the period before the benches played out the final quarter for both sides.

Rozier finished with 26 points, Hayward added 25 and LaMelo Ball finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Bradley Beal had a game-high 31 points for Washington.
