History! Auburn baseball becomes regional host for second consecutive season

For the first time in program history, Auburn baseball has secured an NCAA Regional host bid for the second season in a row.

History has been made for Auburn baseball.

It was announced Sunday that No. 25 Auburn has secured a regional hosting bid for this weekend’s NCAA Regionals for the second season in a row, which marks the first time in program history that Auburn has earned the right to host a regional in consecutive seasons.

Auburn gets the bid after posting an impressive 12-3 second-half record within SEC play, and taking down ranked programs such as No. 19 South Carolina and No. 3 LSU along the way. Auburn also spent three days at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, which help solidify its case.

How did Auburn get there? Here’s one last look at the Tigers’ postseason resume ahead of the NCAA Tournament selection show that is set to begin Monday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2.
