In a battle between two of the league’s worst teams, the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, 10-7, on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Not much was expected coming into this contest but the Giants were able to control the game script and string together their first back-to-back victories of the season.
The defense played an enormous part in this victory, holding the Patriots to just one score on the day. However, the player of the game in this contest was rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who exploded with several big plays to help lead to scoring drives for the offense.

The third-round rookie had his best game of the season recording five catches for 109 yards.
Hyatt did it all for the Giants on Sunday as he led the team in targets (6), receptions, and scrimmage yards. The former Tennessee Volunteer had shown flashes all season of his big play ability but in this one, he was able to string a couple of them together.
On the Giants’ first touchdown drive, Hyatt provided a lifeline with a 12-yard reception on a third down. He also recorded a 41-yard reception to mark the third-longest reception of his career.
While the Giants do not have postseason aspirations this year, it is good to see the young rookie starting to shine.
