Giants’ Joe Judge ‘optimistic’ Mike Glennon will return, start in Week 14

New York Giants head coach Joe Judge expressed optimism that QB Mike Glennon (concussion) will clear protocol and start in Week 14.

New York Giants quarterback Mike Glennon remains in concussion protocol but head coach Judge Judge is “optimistic” he will start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Speaking with reporters from Tucson, Arizona on Wednesday, Judge indicated the expectation is that Glennon will clear protocol in time.

Until that time comes, Jake Fromm will take the starting reps at quarterback in practice. Practice squad quarterbacks Brian Lewerke and Clayton Thorson, who was re-signed on Tuesday, will also see the field.

Glennon was 23-of-44 for 187 yards and one interception in a 20-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.
