Giants are long shots to win Super Bowl LV

The New York Giants are long shots — in some cases, extreme long shots — to win Super Bowl LV.

The New York Giants are not even in the picture for next year’s Super Bowl LV in Tampa according to several oddsmakers. Three consecutive losing seasons with a combine record of 12-26 will get you no respect. Let’s be fair — they’ve earned it.

Some sportsbooks have the Giants as low a 66-1, but most are putting them in ’69 Mets territory, which for you younger readers is 100-to-1, or impossible, odds.

There’s no way any sane person would place a single penny on the Giants to win the Super Bowl next year. Maybe a die hard fan with several drinks in them might place a wager, and even then, they’d be laughing while doing it. It would be like dropping money down the sewer.

Sure, the Giants could be headed in the right direction, but there’s no evidence of that yet. New head coach Joe Judge and his staff could possibly breath some life into this franchise, but the losing has gone on so long who knows if they can even get back to .500 with this team.
