Georgia-Georgia Tech injury report

Georgia Bulldogs football injury report ahead of UGA’s game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Georgia Bulldogs will be without several starters against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Georgia-Georgia Tech game is at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 29.

Georgia has a significant amount of injuries at running back. Running backs Branson Robinson (knee) and Roderick Robinson (toe) are nearing a return and may be able to give it a go against Georgia Tech. True freshman Nate Frazier is expected to continue to carry the load for the UGA backfield. Starting running back Trevor Etienne missed the UMass game with a ribs injury.

“Rod (Robinson II) has done practice, contact. Has done taking reps. He’s looked good out there,” said Smart. “Branson (Robinson) has too. Branson is taking some. I didn’t get to see the last part of practice to know how much Branson and Rod did early in practice. They did take some reps in with the twos.”

Georgia offensive linemen Micah Morris and Earnest Greene are both banged up. “He’s done more this week. He’s actually worked at right and left (tackle),” said Smart on Earnest Greene.

“(Defensive tackle) Christen Miller not much. He’s been banged up. Recovering, running, doing some treatment stuff,” said Kirby Smart. Miller left the UMass game with a shoulder injury.

“(Wide receiver) Dillon Bell, a little bit. He’s done some walkthroughs with us and taking some reps. We’re just trying to get those guys healthy and ready.” Smart continued on Miller and Bell. Bell is dealing with an ankle injury.

On the Georgia Tech side of the things, the Yellow Jackets’ normal starting quarterback, Haynes King, is very limited as a passer. Fans should expect for Georgia Tech to play quarterback Aaron Philo in passing situations.

Georgia defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, who is a former five-star recruit, is out for the season.
