Game Two Recap: Baseball – Texas A&M vs No. 7 Arkansas

Texas A&M get out scored 4-10 second straight against Arkansas dropping their first league series in a month

The Aggies have dropped their first SEC series since being swept by Tennessee a month ago. To add insult to injury it’s also their fourth loss in a row. Texas A&M (25-18, 9-11 SEC) scored first but No. 7 Arkansas (32-11, 13-7 SEC) put runs on the board in the next six of seven innings with little resistance for a game-two victory 4-10 over the Aggies.

Texas A&M got the ball rolling in the second inning with a Ryan Targac sac fly scoring Austin Bost. However, it would be the Razorbacks that took the ball and ran with it. They scored in four consecutive innings to go up 2-6 with the Aggies adding a solo home run by Max Kaufer.

Both teams goose egged the sixth inning then Texas A&M cut into the lead when Jordan Thompson hit a two-run home run into left field in the seventh. Unfortunately, it did not help much because Arkansas hit their own two-run home run, eliminating the ground that was made up earlier in the inning. The Razorbacks followed with another two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to go up for a final score of 10-4.

Final Score: Aggies 4, Razorbacks 10 – W: McEntire, Will (6-2); L: Aschenbeck, Evan (6-1); S: Gage Wood(4)

Game three will be at 11am on April 28th.
