Game recognizes game: Pat Surtain has never seen anything like Travis Hunter

“Travis [Hunter] is one of one neva seen anything like it,” Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain tweeted.

The Colorado Buffaloes kicked off their 2024 season with a 31-26 win over the North Dakota State Bison on Thursday night.

Once again, Travis Hunter stood out.

The 21-year-old junior played on both sides of the ball — wide receiver and cornerback — and had a huge game. Hunter hauled in seven receptions for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and he totaled three tackles.

Hunter is unique, and Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain knows it.

“Travis is one of one neva seen anything like it,” PS2 tweeted on Thursday night.

Surtain isn’t the only member of Broncos Country who has taken notice of Hunter.

“He’ll be in orange and blue soon don’t worry bro,” one fan tweeted Surtain.

Added Joe Rowles: “Wouldn’t hate Broncos failing their way to [pick No.] 1 if it landed them Travis Hunter.”

Joey Richards instructed fans to “load up the Travis Hunter in a Broncos jersey edits.”

There’s no doubt that Hunter could make an immediate impact in Denver — on either side of the ball.

The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Green Bay from April 24-26 next spring. Hunter would be a dream target for the Broncos.
