Las Vegas is next for Formula 1, and Mercedes will lead the field to the green flag. [autotag]George Russell[/autotag] won the pole for the Las Vegas Grand Prix at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit this weekend. Carlos Sainz will join Russell on the front row for Sunday’s early morning event. It is Russell’s third pole position of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc will follow the two drivers on the second row. Most notably, Esteban Ocon, Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, and Lance Stroll all qualified 11th or worse for Sunday’s event. This occurred as Formula 1 had an intense and fun three-round session with one major incident involving Franco Colapinto.
