Michael Maietti, a former starter for Rutgers at center, was named First-Team All-SEC by Pro Football Focus on Tuesday. The analytics site has consistently been high on the now Missouri star offensive lineman.

During three seasons at Rutgers, the former Don Bosco Prep star made 33 starts, including starting every game during his final two years with the Scarlet Knights. Maietti transferred to Missouri following the 2019 season when he was a redshirt junior.

Missouri finished the regular 6-6 following a 34-17 loss to Arkansas over the weekend.
Rutgers could have used Maietti this year as the offensive line collectively had significant struggles. The Scarlet Knights went 5-7 in their second season of a rebuild under head coach Greg Schiano. They lost their final two games of the season as they chased bowl eligibility for the first time since 2014.
