Former Oregon Ducks running backs coach and run game coordinator Jim Mastro has found a new title near the west coast, taking the role of Director of Operations for the Nevada Wolfpack.
According to a report from Bruce Feldman, Mastro avoided taking any on-field coaching jobs this upcoming season due to family issues that he wanted to stay on the west coast for. This led to him returning to Nevada, where he served as the assistant coach from 2000 to 2010.
Mastro will have some familiar faces around him, with former Oregon LB coach Ken Wilson taking the head coaching job with the Wolfpack. Nevada has also hired Nate Costa and Kwame Agyeman from the Ducks’ former staff.
