Ohio State has been churning out defensive ends like candy bars at a chocolate factory for quite some time now. If you’re one of the top-rated edge rushers in high school, why wouldn’t you consider becoming a Buckeye?
Well, the No. 2 rated defensive end and No. 23 overall rated player in the country, according to 247 Sports composite rankings, did just that recently putting Ohio State in his top ten. Omari Abor is a five-star out of Duncanville, Texas, and has all the big boys drooling.
Joining the Buckeyes on Abor’s trimmed list are Alabama, Arizona State, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Southern Cal. Recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks says Abor is a first-round talent and compares to NFL defensive end Bradley Chubb of the Denver Broncos.

At this point, Abor is crystal balled to Oklahoma, but that could all change now that the dead period has been lifted beginning June 1. The young edge rusher is scheduled to visit Columbus on June 4.
