Ed Ingram added to Vikings injury list with a hip injury

Ed Ingram is as a limited participant after not being listed on Wednesday’s injury report

With the Minnesota Vikings fighting for their playoff lives, and having suffered numerous injuries already, the last thing they need is another one. Especially up front when facing one of the most tenacious pass rushers in the NFL, Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby.

Unfortunately, that appears to be the situation they’re facing with the addition of Ed Ingram to the injury report.

After not being listed on Wednesday’s report, Ingram popped up as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. It’s unknown what the exact injury is, or what the extent of the injury is, but Ingram was listed with simply a “hip” injury.

The bye week came at a great time for the Vikings in terms of getting healthy for the stretch run. Their biggest weapon, Justin Jefferson, is finally ready to return to action after missing a significant portion of the season with a hamstring injury.

The good news for the Vikings is everyone else practiced in full on Thursday, including safety Theo Jackson who missed practice with an illness.

To see Ingram added to the list is certainly a blow to a squad who needs to turn their recent skid around if they want to see playoff football. Hopefully Ingram’s addition to the injury list is just a precaution and he’ll be fine for Sunday.
