The Philadelphia Eagles continue to add Georgia players to their roster, whether via the draft or trade.

After selecting a plethora of Bulldogs, the Eagles swung a trade on Saturday with the Detroit Lions for former Georgia RB D’Andre Swift.

The Lions tradeSwift and a seventh in 2023 to the Eagles for a fourth-round pick in 2025 and a seventh-round pick in 2023.

Swift was the 35th pick by the Lions in 2020 out of Athens.

He rushed for 542 yards in 2022 and caught passes for 389 yards.

Overall in three seasons in Honolulu Blue, Swift rushed for 1,680 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also had 7 TD receptions.

The Lions drafted Jahmyr Gibbs with the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

The Eagles saw top RB Miles Sanders sign with Carolina in the offseason so the deal makes sense for both teams.
