Dolphins slide up again in power rankings after Week 13 win

Miami moves up again, making it jumps in back-to-back weeks.

The Miami Dolphins, after a little extra rest, defeated the Washington Commanders on Sunday to earn their ninth win of the season.

Through 13 weeks, Mike McDaniel’s team has put together a 9-3 record, but there are still many questions regarding the team’s legitimacy as contenders.

With the season in the back stretch of the year, Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey has been producing weekly power rankings for the NFL. Last week, following their win over the New York Jets, Miami jumped up to No. 7. Now, after another victory, they’ve jumped to No. 6.

Here’s what Bailey had to say about the Dolphins:

“My goodness, Tyreek Hill is going to reach 2,000 yards, isn’t he? The Dolphins continue making light work of teams that are below them. Now, can they finish off strong and capture the AFC East crown?”

Ahead of Miami, at this point, are the Baltimore Ravens (No. 5), Dallas Cowboys (No. 4), Kansas City Chiefs (No. 3), Philadelphia Eagles (No. 2) and San Francisco 49ers (No. 1).

The Dolphins jumped the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 8), who were No. 6 last week, after Trevor Lawrence’s team fell to the Joe Burrow-less Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.
