These days, Discord is available on practically every device with an internet connection — there’s no ignoring it. As such, yet another line of consoles will support the massive gaming platform.
On Wednesday, Microsoft announced that Discord integration is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. People using either console will soon be able to join voice channels, see what friends are playing, and chat with players on PC or mobile. This cross-platform functionality is something Xbox fans have wanted for quite some time. It’s much more robust than the older feature set that only allowed people to see Xbox Live Gamertags on Discord.
Discord Voice is coming to @Xbox. Hang out with Discord friends on voice chat while playing console games.

Select Xbox Insiders can try Discord starting July 20, 2022. If you are one of the lucky few that gain access, make sure to connect both of your accounts. It’s pretty straightforward, but there’s an entire walkthrough of how to connect your Xbox and Discord accounts together here. If you’ve already done that, you will have to link both together again.
While there isn’t a launch date for the public rollout, Microsoft claims it’s coming soon. That tends to be the case with this sort of software implementation. Get enthusiasts to test it, then push out the whole shebang once all the kinks are ironed out.
