The Cleveland Browns had protected offensive tackle Greg Senat every week with the newly created rules for the practice squad. But even the protected players are vulnerable in the day after a game to get signed to another team’s active roster, and that’s exactly what happened to Senat.
The promising young developmental tackle is now a member of the Dallas Cowboys. The team Cleveland beat on Sunday extracted some revenge by poaching Senat off the practice squad before the Browns could protect him this week. Senat is now on the Cowboys’ active 53-man roster.
Dallas made room for him by cutting veteran CB Brandon Carr.
