The Houston Rockets have considered the idea of including young, scoring guard Jalen Green in a trade to bring a star back to Houston, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports. There have been multiple reports since the Rockets’ season ended that Houston is looking to speed up its rebuild by going after a star or two.
The Brooklyn Nets are in an interesting place this offseason as they finished this season as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference getting swept by the third-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. Despite making the playoffs without having to go through the play-in tournament, Brooklyn saw that they did not have enough to be a force in the playoffs after they got swept.
Brooklyn has plenty of situations of think about such as Cam Johnson’s restricted free-agency and how Ben Simmons fits on the team, but it’s possibly that going after someone like Green could be in the works since he is still young and provides an elite level of scoring. Time will tell if Green is part of a full rebuild in Brooklyn or if the Nets trade for him to be a main component of a championship puzzle.
If the Rockets offered Jalen Green and some of the Nets picks back to Brooklyn for Mikal Bridges — that would be something to think about. https://t.co/KNIMyw5Afs
