On draft night, we had a pretty good idea of what type of money former Oregon Ducks star Kayvon Thibodeaux was going to get with the New York Giants as the No. 5 overall pick in 2022.
Now, we know exactly what that deal was worth with the contract details finally getting released.

Unfortunately for Thibodeaux, the numbers are a little bit smaller than was predicted, but I don’t think anyone would be upset with signing a contract that had these types of numbers included.
According to reports, Thibodeaux signed on the dotted line this past week for a 4-year deal worth $31.3 million with a $20 million signing bonus, all of which is fully guaranteed.
Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal have agreed to terms on their rookie deals, per source.
Thibodeaux’s deal is four years for $31.3 million as the fifth overall pick.
Fully guaranteed.Evan Neal is four years and $24.6 million as the seventh pick. Also fully guaranteed. #Giants

This goes in line with that Cincinnatti Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase signed for as the No. 5 overall pick a year ago — $31.1 million, $17.8 million signing bonus.
On top of all of that, you can guarantee that Thibodeaux is going to be among the most highly-marketed rookies in the crop, especially considering that he landed in the big apple of New York City. He’s got the smile and the charisma to earn major ad revenue, which is something we’ve seen already over the past year.
