The Tennessee Titans recently re-signed long snapper Morgan Cox to a one-year deal, and now we have the financials of the contract.
According to Spotrac, the one-year pact will pay Cox $1.377 million, which amounts to a raise of $60,000 from last year’s deal. The long snapper gets a signing bonus of $167,500 and $1.152 million guaranteed.
Re-signing Cox was a no-brainer for the Titans, as he’s one of the best in the business at his job. He has now netted himself a raise in each of the last three offseasons, which is well-deserved for the job he has done.
Tennessee originally inked Cox back in 2021. The former Baltimore Raven was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2022, his fifth selection. He also has one first-team All-Pro nod, which came in 2020 with the Ravens.
The Titans have one more key specialist to bring back in kicker Nick Folk, who was sensational during his first season in the two-tone blue. If Folk is brought back, Tennessee will once again sport one of the elite trios of specialists in the NFL, along with punter Ryan Stonehouse.
