The Washington Commanders saw a 17-0 lead dwindle to a point when New Orleans scored a touchdown as time expired.
Darren Rizzi, the interim coach for the Saints, made the call to go for two and the win.
It didn’t work out as the Commanders managed to deny the two-point conversion and escaped with a 20-19 win.
Spencer Rattler’s pass fell incomplete and the Saints dropped to 5-9.
The Commanders improved their playoff hopes by upping their mark to 9-5.
